Hey Y'all!!
This week has been a little crazy. But that's the mission life, right? I feel like so many different problems happened this week with either our investigators or our less active members and they are all turning to us for answers. It shows that they have trust in us so that's good- we are just trying to build trust in other members but ultimately our Heavenly Father and the scriptures, because we know that we can receive any answer  from them!

Miracles!!

We have been receiving so many referrals lately! It is awesome! I think we have had about 3 media referrals in the past week and a half! It is so exciting! Every day I have been pleading with the Lord to send us referrals but not just any referrals- referrals who are a family! And our prayers have been answered! Saturday we were able to contact our referral named Carl. He is a single man so we didn't go inside, but we could tell he had kids or his sister that was living with him! He had been talking to someone on Mormon.org so he was expecting Elders to come over but he said we could teach him as well! We were so happy! We were able to set up a return appointment with him for the next day, but we felt that the Elders should continue from there so we passed Carl to them. We haven't heard how that visit went yet but I am just so filled with joy! I know there are tons of families in our area, and in every other area that need to hear the gospel and I am just so excited to go find and help them!

On teaching Center at the Trail Cneter I was able to send missionaries to a man in Argentina who had been investigating the church for about 30 years (the missionaries had dropped him because he wasn't keeping commitments) but 30 years! That is such a long time!! He finally said he was ready to be baptized and was and is making the changes necessary to be baptized! It was such a sweet experience and I am just so excited for the missionaries to be contacting him and his family!
Our investigators are doing marvelous! We have been meeting with Scott Warren and he is so excited for his baptism! In every meeting we have had with him he just talks about how his baptism is helping him to change! It is so happy! When we went over on Friday we went over the baptismal interview questions with him- because his interview was the next day and he was kind of struggling to remember them, he pretty much knew them but we would have to prompt him a little bit then he would remember.  So the next day before his interview we went over them again with him and he knew everything! We didn't really need to help him at all! It was awesome! And he passed the interview!! Our district leader said that before he started asking him the questions Scott just started spitting out all the answers! It is so funny! He was so happy! And it just filled Sister Preator and I with such joy knowing how happy this is making Scott- because he knows that this is what his Heavenly Father wants for him at this time!! So his baptism will be this Saturday! Super exciting!!
As for Sandi, our other progressing investigator, she came to church yesterday and she absolutely loved it!! She was so surprised that everyone kept on coming up to her and introducing themselves- it made her feel so good! She was only able to stay for sacrament meeting but she knows that she should be there all three hours and she is striving for that now! We have a lesson with her tonight at the Trail Center and we are watching God's Plan for Families with her! It will be awesome! Everyone is so excited!!

We had our Zone Conference this week and it was just incredible, as usual! President and Sister Gardner want the whole mission to do a 40 Day Fast together. Last time we just did it individually. Im so excited!! On my fast this time I put to not email anyone who isn't family... I will still send a group email, I just will not respond to any individual emails. The good thing is- I am allowing myself to reply to anyone who writes me letters! So that is super exciting, and I can still keep in contact with everyone :D So in about 40 days starting from today you will start to get individual emails from me again! Well, if you want to keep in contact for the next 40 days, the mission office address is.....
11027 Martha St.
Omaha, NE 68144
Well, that is pretty much it for this week! It has been a great week and this week will be a great week! Thank you for all the support you give me!! I love you all to pieces!
Love,

Sister Rook

Zone conference!!!

We received our Study journals for memorizing the first level of scriptures!!!

After Scott passed his interview!

Us an our food... hehe

The young women gave us valentines on Sunday! It was so sweet of them!!

You can tell I'm pro valentines day... haha jussssst kiddddding! My Sister started this tradition of wearing all black on Valentines day during high school... obviously I had to continue it! But.. I had to add a little bit of color... I feel like wearing all black as a sister missionary- people would mistake you for being a nun... so I had to compromise :D
