Hey Everyone!

This past week was pretty empty, no one really wanted to talk to us and a lot of our appointments fell through... so that kind of sucked... but that's okay!

On Wednesday we had Zone Conference and it was so good! I learned so much and it would take forever to say everything that I learned. President Gardner focused mainly on Working with the members better, and better ways to ask for referrals, it was super good!

On Friday we had the opportunity to go to a devotional by John Bytheway and the Redhead Express (lds family band) It was super good! The only reason we got to go was because our investigator was going. We thought it was mostly going to be John Bytheway but it wasn't, he talked for maybe 20 minutes.. so it was super weird listening to music... but it was still pretty good!

I think I'm able to send pics sooo you might be getting a lot of emails from me.... :D
well that's pretty much it! I love you all and miss you to the moon and more!

Love,
Sister Kelsey Rook

May 16. 2016

This week was super crazy. I don't think I have ever experienced so many different emotions or weather conditions or trainings all in one week before, its pretty hard describing it in one email... So here we go!

Monday: We got to Visit Sister Munhall! She is a less active, she got super offended by someone in her last ward and that's why she doesn't come to church anymore.... but.. she let us in!! Later she texted us saying how she's been feeling like she needs to go to church every week and that we were the start of it all, because we were so persistent in making sure she was okay and asking if we could do anything for her... Go Team!

Tuesday: We had Exchanges, it was pretty much the best thing ever. It was so much fun! I learned so much from Sister Johnson. We went to Fremont which is about 20 mins away and we were able to teach 3 lessons. The first was to Pam, she's getting baptized pretty soon so we taught her some of the commandments. It was so Good! The second person was Jessica, a little background about her...  She's 19 years old, and she just got out of the foster care system, she has no idea how to take care of herself so she has just been living off of pop tarts and tv dinners for the past month... Its so sad! We were able to clean up her apartment a ton, then teach the Restoration!! I gave the First Vision and committed her to be baptized... she said yes!!! It was super cool!!

Tuesday Night/Early Morning: We had a hailstorm! I woke up and about 3am because I heard this super loud noise and I had no idea what it was... I was so scared! haha and I couldn't go back to sleep so I was pretty much just praying that we would be safe. No one else woke up so I was pretty freaked out.

Wednesday: When everyone woke up we looked out side and there was so much hail! some of the garages at the bottom were bent in because of how much hail had hit them. At about 6:15 we went out side to shovel someone's truck out of it... it was completely stuck! And me and Sister Wininger realized that our car was hailed in and there was no way out! so we had to go with the STL's (Sister Training Leaders)  to Zone training. Zone training was super good, I learned so much! I am so excited for Zone Conference this Wednesday!

Friday: We had our Trainer Trainee meeting and it was so good! President Gardner gave us a bunch of trainings, then we got to plan our day for tomorrow to try to apply what he had taught us, then the AP's (Assistants to the Presidents) gave us more trainings. It was so good!!

Saturday: We did a ton of service from helping people garden, to helping with grad parties. It was way fun! Saturday Night I got a priesthood blessing from someone in our ward because I was feeling overwhelmed and super inadequate... it was the coolest blessing ever! I am feeling much better now! So nobody needs to worry :)

Well that's pretty much it... Sunday a ton of less actives came to church so that was super cool!

Well I cant really think of anything else, I love and miss everyone so much! Hope you all have a fantastic week! :)

Love,
Sister Rook

P.S. This computer isn't working with the whole sending pictures thing... sorry about that!
